India, Oct. 6 -- Amid the recent unrest in Cuttack, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday appealed to residents to maintain peace and order in the city. He said that the situation, which had caused concern, is gradually returning to normal, and the police administration has taken all necessary measures to restore peace and stability.

The Minister urged citizens not to let the reputation of Cuttack be tarnished and requested everyone to uphold a chain of peace in the city.

"Cuttack is limping back to normalcy. Police have taken necessary measures, and the CM also urged everyone to maintain peace. I, on behalf of our government, request everyone not to tarnish the image of the city by maintaining peace."
