CRPF jawans injured in IED blast along Odisha-Chhattisgarh border
Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9 -- Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, near Odisha's Malkangiri district, on Friday.
The blast occurred when security personnel detected an IED during a search operation and attempted to defuse it. The explosive went off during the process, injuring four personnel.
The injured personnel were taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Konta for treatment. Assistant Sub-Inspector M.K. Tiwari and Anish Khan sustained serious injuries, while Inspector Amarnath Mishra and head constable Kuldeep Raj suffered minor injuries.
Following the blast, security forces intensified the search operation in the area.
