Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16 -- A crocodile reportedly dragged a stray dog amid worsening flood situation in Odisha's Bhadrak district on Saturday. The incident was reported from Bodak panchayat under Tihidi block.

The floodwaters from the Reba river in the area have risen over the Hatnagar road.

The presence of the crocodile near the road created fear among the villagers. The reptile was further seen moving through the floodwater towards the upper reaches.

The incident left the residents worried as the crocodile ventured close to the road due to the floodwater.

Floodwater is flowing down from the upper reaches towards the lower areas. This has raised the possibility of a further increase in the water level.
