Bhubaneswar, Oct. 18 -- Conjoined twins born at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur in Odisha's Ganjam reportedly died on Sunday, days after their birth on October 1.

The babies, born to a couple from Gumma Gram Panchayat under Tumudibandh block in Kandhamal had two heads but shared a single body.

According to reports, doctors identified the case as complicated due to the difficulties involved in operating on and separating the conjoined twins.

The presence of a single heart further complicated the possibility of performing surgery.
