Bhubaneswar, Sept. 9 -- A Plus 2 Science student was found hanging inside a private hostel in CDA area in Odisha's Cuttack on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Chinmay Sahu of Athagarh.

Chinmay's family has alleged murdered, raising questions over the circumstances surrounding his death.

The family claims that they were informed at around 11 pm that Chinmay's health condition deteriorated. He was subsequently rescued from the hostel and taken to a medical facility, where doctors declared him dead.

Chinmay's father alleged that a clash took place between two groups at the college on Teachers' Day. He further claimed that his son was threatened with being killed following the incident.
