Bhubaneswar, Sept. 28 -- Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg early Monday morning visited Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar and reviewed the health and care arrangements for the five rescued orangutans staying at the Hand Rearing Centre.

During the visit, Garg took stock of the health condition of the orangutans and reviewed the treatment and other care being provided to them. She directed the officials to keep a regular watch on their health and ensure that they receive proper veterinary care.

The Chief Secretary also stressed the need to provide all necessary facilities for the animals at the centre. Officials were asked to continue monitoring their condition and pay attention to their overall well-being.
