Bhubaneswar, June 14 -- A car allegedly travelling at high speed hit a motorcycle near INOX in Bhubaneswar's Saheed Nagar area on Saturday. The motorcyclist had a narrow escape in the incident.

Following the accident, locals allegedly thrashed the car driver, who was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Another youth travelling with the driver was also assaulted by the enraged crowd.

According to reports, the car struck the motorcycle at a igh speed. The incident created a commotion at the spot, while the motorcyclist escaped narrowly.

Soon after the accident, angry locals gathered at the scene and allegedly assaulted the car driver. Another youth accompanying the driver was also reportedly beaten by the crowd.
