Bhubaneswar, June 14 -- The Commissionerate Police arrested an alleged dicky-breaking thief accused of targeting parked vehicles across the city and stealing valuables by breaking open vehicle compartments in Bhubaneswar.

The arrest was made in connection with a theft reported on June 10, when the accused allegedly broke open the dicky of a businessman's scooter in Damana and fled with Rs 15,700 in cash and three expensive sunglasses.

Following the incident, the victim lodged a complaint at the Chandrasekharpur police station. Acting on the complaint, police examined CCTV footage from the area and launched raids at multiple locations as part of the investigation.
