CBSE likely to take action against Hyderabad-based OSM vendor for lapses
Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to take action against its on-screen marking (OSM) service provider, Hyderabad-based Coempt Edu Teck, for lapses in the online evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets.
The move comes after users on the social media platform X highlighted vulnerabilities in the board's answer script evaluation portal, prompting acknowledgment from the agency.
Officials confirmed that the company will face financial penalties in accordance with the August 2025 tender document under which it was contracted. While blacklisting is not currently provided for, the tender allows for fines, contract termination, and forfeiture of security deposits.
