Bhubaneswar, June 25 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) launched a major nationwide operation against alleged 'digital arrest' fraud networks, carrying out raids at more than 80 locations across 16 states, including Odisha.

The searches were conducted under 'Operation Chakra-6', with the agency deploying 60 special teams to target suspected criminal networks involved in cyber fraud. The operation spanned across multiple states, including Punjab, Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, West Bengal, Manipur, Karnataka and Odisha.
