Bhubaneswar, April 29 -- A perturbing rise in fuel theft incidents from vehicles parked outside at night has been reported in Bhubaneswar, leaving residents anxious about the safety of their vehicles. Miscreants are allegedly targeting cars and motorcycles parked outside homes, siphoning off petrol and diesel in the Capital City during late-night hours without the owners' knowledge, sources said on Wednesday.

According to some locals, organised groups of thieves are carrying out these petty theft operations in the dead of night, particularly after 1.00 AM.
