Bhubaneswar, Jan. 31 -- A late-night road accident was reported at Acharya Vihar Square in Odisha's Bhubaneswar after a car rammed into an on-duty police patrolling vehicle, leaving three persons seriously injured.

The incident occurred at around 1.15 am on Friday night, triggering brief tension in the area.

According to reports, the car reportedly hit the police patrolling van that was parked by the side of the road at Acharya Vihar Square. At the time of the accident, police personnel were on routine night patrol as part of the Commissionerate Police's efforts to curb crime in Bhubaneswar.
