Bhubaneswar, July 4 -- A passenger bus travelling from Jharsuguda to Bhadrak met with an accident in the early hours of Saturday, leaving a member of the bus staff critically injured and six passengers hurt.

The mishap took place between 4.30 am and 5:00 am near a petrol pump at Ghasipura Bazaar in Odisha's Keonjhar district, when the bus allegedly lost control and rammed into a roadside tree.

Around 50 passengers were travelling in the bus, which had left Jharsuguda on Friday evening. Following the accident, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
