Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- A solar-powered library modelled on community learning centres in Brazil emerged as a new educational landmark in Odisha's Rayagada district, bringing modern learning infrastructure to the tribal-dominated Ramanguda block.

The innovative 'Pathan Kendra', established at Penakam Panchayat, has drawn attention for combining educational development with sustainable energy use. The facility was developed as part of an effort to improve learning opportunities for students in one of the district's relatively backward regions.
