Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in Odisha's Rourkela set a new record for the fastest declaration of examination results by publishing results of more than 93,000 students within 48 hours of the examinations. The achievement has been recognised by the India Book of Records (IBR) and Asia Book of Records (ABR).

BPUT Vice-Chancellor Amiya Kumar Rath said the Even Semester (Regular/Back) examinations for 2025-26 were held at 172 centres between April 29 and June 8. Results for 93,362 students from the second, fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth semesters were published within two days of the final examination, following the evaluation of 5,09,515 answer scripts, as reported by The New Indian Express.
