Bhubaneswar, June 26 -- Puri witnessed a brief security scare on Thursday after several abandoned bags were found in a busy locality of the city, indicating towards a possible bomb threat.

Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and examined the suspicious bags before launching an investigation.

According to reports, the abandoned bags were found at Jatiababaji Square in Puri on Thursday evening. After being alerted by local residents, officials from the Puri Town Police Station reached the location and carried out a thorough inspection of the bags.
