Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16 -- Investigation into the alleged abduction of Bolangir businessman Narendra Sahu took a new turn. Police reportedly found discrepancies between Sahu's statement and the statement of the accused.

Sahu was rescued from the Khandagiri police station area in Bhubaneswar within 24 hours of his alleged abduction. Police also detained Khitish Chandra Sahu of Kantamal in connection with the case.

After bringing Sahu and the accused to Bolangir, police decided to question them face-to-face on Sunday. The questioning is expected to help establish what happened and clarify the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction.
