Bhubaneswar, Oct. 1 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is set to launch a month-long public outreach padayatra across Odisha from October 2. The campaign will focus on the state government's alleged failure to fulfil various promises, the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment (MMDR) Act, 2026, and issues faced by the public.

The campaign will begin on Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti and will be organised across all districts, blocks and panchayats in the state. The party announced the programme at a press conference, stating that BJD president Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the padayatra in Bhubaneswar.
