Bhubaneswar, Oct. 16 -- A young woman, who was bitten by a snake while trying to put it inside a plastic container, reached Baripada Hospital carrying the snake on Friday. The woman has been identified as Soumya Satpathy.

As per reports, she received medical treatment and was later reported to be in stable condition at the time of reporting.

Soumya had gone with her father to catch a snake when the incident reportedly occurred. While she was trying to put the snake inside a plastic container, it bit her hand.

Explaining how the incident happened, Soumya said that the snake's tooth grazed her finger while she was putting it inside the container.
