Binika firing case: Counter-FIR filed to derail probe, alleges block chairperson's family
Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- Ongoing police investigation into the late-night firing at the residence of Binika Block Chairperson Diptirekha Nanda took a complex turn following allegations that the main accused is still at large.
As per reports, the police had previously arrested four individuals and produced them before the court. However, discussions have intensified regarding the suspected involvement of an unapprehended mastermind behind the shooting.
The investigation grew more complicated after a counter-FIR was registered at the Rampur police station. The FIR was against the complainant's family. Meanwhile, speculation surfaced regarding the alleged role of a prominent local political figure.
