Bhubaneswar, Sept. 3 -- A motorcycle was completely gutted after it caught fire following a collision with a stationary Hyva truck on National Highway 520 in Odisha's Keonjhar district on Thursday. The rider, however, had a narrow escape and reportedly sustained only minor injuries in the accident.

The mishap reportedly occurred on Barabanka road under Rugudi police station limits in Keonjhar district.

According to reports, the young man was travelling on a motorcycle from the Bhadrasahi side towards Rugudi when the accident took place. While proceeding along the highway, he allegedly failed to notice a Hyva truck that was standing on the road ahead.
