Bhubaneswar, Feb. 9 -- A major road accident was reported in the Odisha capital, Bhubaneswar, early Monday after a car crashed through a barricade on the Shishu Bhavan overbridge and plunged down from the flyover, narrowly missing residents of nearby houses.

The incident occurred at around 5:30 am under the jurisdiction of the Capital Police Station. According to preliminary information, the car lost control while travelling on the overbridge, rammed into the roadside barricade and fell from a considerable height.
