Bhubaneswar, March 31 -- In a major step toward planned urban expansion, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) signed an agreement on Tuesday with Singapore-based Surbana Jurong to prepare a comprehensive master plan for a proposed New City in Bhubaneswar.

According to the BDA sources, the ambitious project will span over nearly 800 acres across the mouzas of Gothapatna, Malipada, and Daspur. It is envisioned as a multi-economic growth zone aligned with Odisha's long-term development vision, Bikashita Odisha 2036.
