Bhubaneswar, March 2 -- The Bhubaneswar-Dubai flight was cancelled on Monday in view of the prevailing war situation in the Middle East, airport authorities confirmed. The disruption follows airspace restrictions across several West Asian destinations.

Biju Patnaik International Airport Director Prasanna Pradhan stated that the scheduled service to Dubai was called off due to the developing situation in the region.

"Today's flight scheduled to depart for Dubai has been cancelled," Pradhan said.

He clarified that there are no daily direct flights from Bhubaneswar to Dubai or other Middle Eastern destinations. The service operates three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
