Bhubaneswar, Feb. 11 -- The investigation into the alleged murder of cab driver Satyabrata has taken a significant turn after police uncovered that he was already married and had a three-year-old child, a detail reportedly unknown to his partner and now believed to be crucial to the case.

Commissionerate Police intensified the probe after the prime accused, Dinesh Nayak, surrendered at Jagatsinghpur Sadar Police Station on Tuesday. He was subsequently taken into custody for further investigation. Police sources said he will be produced before a court, following which investigators are likely to seek custodial interrogation to piece together the sequence of events leading to Satyabrata's death.
