Bhadrak flood scare: Rising Salandi, Nalia Rivers trigger embankment breaches
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- Flood fears loom large in Odisha's Bhadrak district as rising water levels in the Salandi and Nalia Rivers have triggered breaches at several points along the river embankments. The situation has raised concerns among residents, particularly in low-lying areas, as floodwater continues to spread.
The Nalia River is experiencing heavy flow, putting immense pressure on its embankments. A major 200-foot breach has reportedly developed near Lanjatara in Bilana panchayat, allowing water to spill into surrounding areas.
