Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- A woman's skeleton was recovered from a locked duplex in Bengaluru, nearly a year after she is suspected to have died inside the house. The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Dakshayini, who was reportedly living alone. Police recovered the remains after local residents alerted them when they noticed that she had been missing for a prolonged period.

According to preliminary police findings, Dakshayini had been living in the house alone after the death of her husband, Umesh, around 10 years ago. Her son later died of cancer, following which police suspect she had been living in depression.
