Bhubaneswar, April 5 -- A case was registered in connection with the death of Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee following a complaint lodged at Talsari Marine police station on Saturday. His wife alleged a possible conspiracy behind the incident.

Rahul's wife, Priyanka Banerjee, along with West Bengal actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, filed the complaint at the police station in the presence of police personnel. Suspecting foul play, Priyanka has levelled allegations against five persons in connection with the actor's death.

Prosenjit Chatterjee said, "Rahul's wife and his family came to file an FIR. They were supported. In the presence of lawyer and police, we filed the FIR."
