Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is once again facing scrutiny over its injury management system after Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, raising concerns over communication between the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and the national selection committee.

According to reports, the selectors were initially informed that Bumrah was likely to be available for the two-Test series beginning on August 15. However, subsequent medical assessments revealed that the pacer's injury was more serious than originally believed, forcing him out of the squad.
