Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- A vehicle belonging to the Banki Sub-Collector's Office met with an accident near Bhagipur in Odisha's Cuttack district during the early hours of Wednesday, officials said.

According to reports, the Bolero vehicle lost control while travelling from Banki towards Cuttack and crashed into a roadside tree near Bhagipur.

The impact of the collision was reportedly severe, causing the tree to collapse onto a parked Luna and scooter nearby, damaging both vehicles.

Sources said the accident occurred during the early morning hours. Although the vehicle belonged to the Sub-Collector's office, no government official was travelling in it at the time of the incident.
