Bhubaneswar, June 5 -- National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) continued its scrutiny of the murder case of Government Railway Police (GRP) constable Soumya Ranjan Swain. The development comes amid Odisha Crime Branch said it is carrying out a scientific investigation and expanded the scope of the probe to include all persons present at the scene of the incident.

Crime Branch Director General Vinaytosh Mishra said officials are conducting the investigation based on technological and digital evidence to identify those linked to the case.

He said that all individuals who were present at the spot were brought within the ambit of the investigation and their mobile phones examined as part of the evidence-gathering process.
