Bhubaneswar, May 9 -- Days after the shocking mob lynching incident in Balianta sent shockwaves across the state, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Saturday asserted that the guilty would face stringent punishment and warned of a tougher approach towards criminal activities.

Reacting to the incident, the minister said those responsible for the brutal crime would face the consequences of their actions and would be punished as per the law.

"The accused will get the punishment they deserve. Those who have committed the crime will certainly face the consequences of their deeds," he said.
