Bhubaneswar, May 8 -- Reacting to the mob lynching incident on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Friday said that the culprits should not be allowed to escape punishment.

The Minister stressed the need for greater vigilance to curb rising criminal activities. He said those in government must focus on effectively discharging their constitutional responsibilities.

He further stated that criminals no longer fear the law and emphasised the need to instill fear among offenders to deter crime. He also highlighted the necessity of increasing manpower in the police department to strengthen law enforcement.
