Balianta lynching incident sparks statewide alert: Odisha Police tighten grip, daily briefings compulsory
Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- In the wake of the Balianta mob lynching incident, the Commissionerate Police has stepped up efforts to tighten the law and order situation. Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania has directed all the police stations across Odisha to conduct a mandatory 'briefing parade' every day before 9 am.
During the briefing parade, police personnel will review the law and order situation in their respective areas, identify crime-prone zones, monitor the movement of criminals, and assess the progress of ongoing investigations.
