A domestic quarrel in Odisha's Balasore district ended in a gruesome tragedy when a man allegedly beheaded his wife with a sharp weapon.
The shocking incident occurred late Thursday night at Chakuapal village under Raibania police station limits. The deceased has been identified as Jayanti, while the accused is her husband, Chandra Mohan Patra.
According to sources, the couple got into a heated argument over a domestic issue, during which Chandra Mohan allegedly attacked his wife in a fit of rage. He struck her with a sharp weapon, completely severing her head from her body. Jayanti died on the spot.
