India, Oct. 5 -- Illegal sand mining activities have allegedly become active at several locations/quarries under Jaleswar tehsil limits in Balasore district, even before the rivers have dried up. Acting on information about the alleged illegal sand operations, a team conducted a patrol near Chafla and intercepted five tractors allegedly carrying sand on Monday.
