Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16 -- The Baitarani River has once again breached the danger mark in Bhadrak district on Sunday. This development has raised concerns for low-lying areas as rainfall continues in the district.

At Akhuapada, the water level reached 18.38 metres against the danger mark of 18.33 metres today.

As per reports, due to the continuous rainfall in the area, there is a possibility that the river's water level may increase further.

Meanwhile, the water level of the Salandi River is also gradually increasing.

At Rajghat, the danger mark is 17 feet, while the river is currently flowing at 16.50 feet.
