Back-to-back crocodile attack leaves two injured in Odisha's Jajpur
Bhubaneswar, April 3 -- A fresh case of crocodile attack was reported from Odisha's Jajpur district on Thursday. One person, identified as Pratap Mallick, sustained critical injuries in the attack.
Mallick had gone to the Kharasrota river for defecation when the crocodile attacked him.
The incident occurred when Mallick entered the river and was suddenly caught by a crocodile. In a desperate attempt to save himself, he hit the reptile on the mouth using a nearby stone, forcing it to release him.
Mallick then managed to escape from the river and was later admitted in a critical condition to the Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital. Sources said he may be shifted to Cuttack for further treatment.
