The future of the Asia Cup, a six-team tournament, which will be played in T20 format, is clouded in uncertainty.
As per sources, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will 'boycott' any resolution if the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in Dhaka.
The meeting is scheduled to be held in Dhaka on July 24. However, due to the current situation in Bangladesh, India refused to travel for the meeting.
BCCI and BCB have recently mutually decided to defer India's tour of Bangladesh from August 2025 to September 2026.
