Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- A major robbery has been reported from Odisha's Bhadrak district after a group of armed miscreants allegedly entered a house late Friday night, threatened family members at gunpoint and looted huge amounts of cash and gold ornaments before fleeing the spot.

The incident took place near the Talang Canal embankment under Ambroli panchayat within the Bhadrak Rural police limits. The targeted house belongs to Gangadhar Mallik.

According to sources, around seven to eight armed robbers barged into the house deep into the night while family members were inside.
