A fresh incident of a dead body being found in a coal-laden train wagon was reported at Paradip Port. The train, which had transported coal from the Talcher mining area, reached the port on Sunday afternoon. While unloading coal at the Mechanical Coal Handling Plant (MCHP), workers discovered the body buried under coal in one of the wagons.
Despite the discovery, nearly a day later, the body was still lying inside the wagon tippler. As the body remained unremoved, coal unloading operations at the MCHP tippler halted since Sunday afternoon. The deceased has not yet been identified.
