Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- An American woman from Pennsylvania has embraced Odisha's culture and traditions with remarkable warmth, travelling thousands of kilometres to celebrate her son's first birthday with her Indian in-laws in Puri district on Monday.

Ann, from Pennsylvania, married Nayabrata Mallik of Sirei village under Gop block after the two developed a relationship through online chatting while Nayabrata was working in the United States. The couple got married in a church in 2023, and their son Omkar was born in 2025.
