Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- Three minor sisters suffering from malnutrition in Odisha's Keonjhar district will receive government assistance after their plight came to light. This prompted the local administration to assure immediate support and access to welfare schemes.

The children, residents of Champua block, were reportedly living in difficult circumstances following the death of their mother and the absence of their father, who went outside the district in search of work.

According to reports, the sisters were unable to receive nutritious food from the local Anganwadi centre or benefits under the Central Government's Food Security Scheme as their Aadhaar cards were not linked to a mobile number.
