Above normal rainfall recorded in Odisha; orange warning issued for 7 districts for tomorrow
Bhubaneswar, July 5 -- Odisha has recorded above normal rainfall so far this monsoon season, with the state receiving 265.5 mm of rain between June 1 and the present, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre. Officials said the cumulative rainfall is 4 per cent higher than the seasonal average, reflecting an active monsoon across much of the state.
Regional Meteorological Centre Director Manorama Mohanty said rainfall distribution has varied across districts. Boudh and Kandhamal have received very heavy rainfall, making them the worst affected in terms of precipitation during the current spell.
