Bhubaneswar, Aug. 7 -- Seven people were critically injured in a hit-and-run incident at Kuakhia Bazaar in Odisha's Jajpur district on Thursday after a speeding car allegedly rammed into multiple two-wheelers.

According to reports, the car was travelling at a high speed when it hit two motorcycles and a scooter in the busy market area.

Following the accident, locals immediately rescued the injured persons and rushed them to the hospital in ambulances. They were admitted to the Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). Apart from this, some of the injured were also taken to the Madhuban Community Health Centre for treatment. Their condition was said to be critical.
