India, Sept. 19 -- Seven people from Odisha died after a car carrying devotees was swept away by a rain-swollen stream near the Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Nalkheda in Agar Malwa district in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.

All the deceased were residents of Jayadev Vihar in Bhubaneswar and had travelled from Ujjain to visit the temple. The deceased included the son, grandson, granddaughter, daughter and son-in-law of the family.

Upon receiving the information, administrative officials and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
