4 buildings, 7 plots, Rs 1.46 crore deposits: Project Director arrested in Sundargarh in DA case
Bhubaneswar, Oct. 10 -- An Odisha government official has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance in a disproportionate assets (DA) case after searches allegedly revealed multiple properties, substantial bank deposits and gold that he could not satisfactorily explain.
The accused, Prasanna Kumar Patra, serves as Deputy Director of Soil Conservation-cum-Project Director, Watershed, in Sundargarh district. According to Odisha Vigilance, he will be produced before the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh.
During searches at properties linked to Patra, Vigilance officials reportedly detected several assets suspected to be disproportionate to his known sources of income.
