Bhubaneswar, Sept. 29 -- Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Deogarh and Chhendipada late Monday night, triggering brief panic among residents in the affected areas. According to preliminary information, the earthquake measured 3.9 on the Richter scale.

Residents reportedly experienced the tremors between around 10:47 pm and 10:48 pm. The shaking was felt in Chhendipada and several nearby localities, prompting many people to step out of their homes as a precaution.

The sudden tremors created a sense of fear among residents, with people alerting family members and neighbours soon after experiencing the shaking. Some locals reportedly remained outdoors for a while, apprehensive about the possibility of further tremors.
