Bhubaneswar, July 7 -- Twenty fishermen were rescued after two Andhra Pradesh-based fishing trawlers developed engine failure and drifted in rough sea conditions off the Puri coast in Odisha. The incident occurred in deep waters, leaving the fishermen stranded as the vessels were unable to navigate back to shore, official sources said on Tuesday.

Upon receiving information about the emergency, the Indian Coast Guard, in coordination with the Odisha Marine Police, launched a rescue operation. Coast Guard vessel C-426 was dispatched to the location and reached the stranded trawlers amid challenging weather and sea conditions.
