Bhubaneswar, Sept. 1 -- A man from Bhadrak's Chandbali area, who was stranded in Nepal amid devastating flash floods, has returned home and recounted the terrifying ordeal that left him fearing for his life and family.

Ramesh Das of Nalgunda village in Chandbali block had travelled to Nepal on August 21. However, his trip took a dangerous turn after the region was hit by a massive flash flood, leaving him stranded amid the destruction.

Recalling the frightening experience after reaching Bhadrak, Das said he witnessed floodwater rapidly rushing behind vehicles as they tried to move to safety. The situation became so terrifying that he feared he might never see his family again.
